The NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs get underway on Wednesday, April 13 and the Caps will be in action on opening night. They’ll host the Rangers at 7:30 p.m. at Verizon Center. The game will be televised on VERSUS and CSN. All of the Caps' first-round games will be telecast on CSN unless NBC bumps them for Game 3 and 5. VERSUS telecasts in DC/Baltimore markets will be blacked out in first round. Game 2 will be Friday night, April 15 at Verizon Center, also at 7:30. Then the scene will shift to New York for Game 3 on Sunday afternoon, April 17 in a nationally televised game (NBC) at Madison Square Garden. Game 4 takes place at MSG on Wednesday, April 20 at 7 pm. If necessary, the series shifts back to the District for Game 5 at Verizon Center on Saturday afternoon, April 23 at 3 pm. That game would also be on NBC. If a Game 6 is required, it will be played in Manhattan on Monday, April 25. Should a seventh and deciding game be needed, it will take place at Verizon Center on Wednesday, April 27. Game times are not yet set for Games 6 and 7; both are TBD at this time.
